Valued Partners

The Gitxsan Development Corporation has partnered with two industry leading organizations in technology and monitor center management – Aware360 and Telelink – to offer Western Canada a localized service that has the strength of over 70 years in combined experience, processes and expertise.

The Gitxsan Development Corporation (GDC) was founded in 2011 to enable the Gitxsan Nation to participate in the economic and development activities occurring within the Gitxsan traditional territory, and to provide training and employment opportunities to its people. GDC recognises that profitable, sustainable economic development leads to job creation and training opportunities, ultimately creating economic resilience for Gitxsan members.  BC SafetyLink is one of these initiatives.

GDC is aligned to play a key role in the development of industry in British Columbia and is committed to maintaining the Gitxsan stewardship of our land and the values and principles that guide our people.

Telelink is a leading national monitor center that brings to the partnership 50 years of experience and scalable capacity. The center utilizes Telelink’s voice technology capabilities and their national network of agents to provide the overflow and technical resources required to manage thousands of calls and digital voice messages daily.

The web-based system also allows the Monitor to be shared with any participating organization or emergency respondents at any level – by region, organization, or emergency.

For 50 years, Telelink has been providing customer support solutions that exceed industry standards and customer expectations.

Aware360 brings to the partnership a leading edge technology that allows the center to support our clients in making real time decisions with real time data.

It means that we can effectively monitor workers throughout BC while integrating communication from any device through any connection.  Decreasing response times and improving medical outcomes in the case of injury.
